“The Natural History of Olympic Prairies”

In Thursday, April 11, at 3 p.m., Forest Shomer, owner of Inside Passages seed company, will talk about prairie preservation, the theme for this year’s Native Plant Appreciation Month. Forest’s talk will highlight geologic history, conservation, and the restoration of Western Washington prairies, as well as the contribution all of us can make by knowing the native species and integrating them into our landscaping.

Forest Shomer is a business owner and master seedman with five decades of experience in handling seeds and native plants. He strives to offer a diverse selection of native woody plants, forbs, and grasses in his seed list.
