Bogs, Fens, Swamps, and Marshes

Looking for a good winter project? Find out how to turn a leaky pond, a waterlogged dip in your yard, or the edge of an existing pond into a bog garden filled with plants that will thrive in the Pacific Northwest. Mike Boock, from the spring 2024 Master Gardener class, will draw on environmental law to distinguish between bogs, fens, swamps, and marshes. (It turns out his own bog garden is likely a fen garden.)
