Pruning in the Pacific Northwest Landscape w/ Keith Dekker on March 23rd

Join us on Saturday March 23rd from 10:00 am – 12:15 pm at the PT Community Center, 620 Tyler St. in Port Townsend.

Do you feel a bit unsure on where & how to trim your favorite plants?  Join Master Gardener and expert pruner, Keith Dekker, as he guides us on selectively pruning plants. Among his many other gardening accolades, Keith is known for considering each plant’s uniquely natural shape and characteristics. Dekker’s lecture will also cover tool selection, plant habits, pruning budgets and rehabilitative pruning.

Keith Dekker has more than 40 years of horticulture experience in garden centers, nurseries, greenhouses and commercial landscape maintenance including 25 years of residential  landscaping near Seattle. He regularly teaches pruning to garden clubs and in the PlantAmnesty’s pruning certification program.

Originally scheduled on Feb. 9th during Snowmageddon, Keith’s presentation will close the 21st annual Yard & Garden Series.

Come early to get a great seat and bring troubled plants or just questions to our WSU Master Gardener plant clinicians. All this and Door Prizes too!  2019 Yard & Garden Series ticket holders are welcome or pay $12 at the door. For more information, call 360-301-2081 or 360-316-6306

Proceeds benefit our greater community by helping underwrite Jefferson County Master Gardener Foundation grants and programs.
