SALISH COAST ELEMENTARY
(2021-22 Project Grant)
A new production garden is in the works on the Salish Coast Elementary campus, Port Townsend School District #50. The goal is to have vegetables and herbs raised on site, next to the teaching garden. Students will be able to see food being grown that they eat in the cafeteria.
The $750 grant will fund soil for one hoop house. Fencing and a greenhouse are planned in the future when the maintenance staff has time to build them. Watch this site for activity during the summer of 2022.
